I recently acquired a house with several heated floors which are currently controlled through “dumb” GFCI Class B thermostats. In order to get the ability to control my floor heaters through OH, I am looking to replace these dumb thermostats with intelligent ones (e.g. wifi, zwave, zigbee…).
As it tourns out, there are quite a few nice GFCI Class A intelligent floor thermostats available (such as the Mysa), but thus far, I have not been able to find any Class B equivalent. The difference, I gather, is that Class A will trip on a 5 ma leak while Class B will only trip on a 15 ma leak. I tested a Class A thermostat on my floors and it definitely did not work.
Can anyone help?
