MainUI Channel Configuration Updates not processed

OH 3.0.2
I just realized that updates to configurations for existing things via MainUI no longer get processed. I make an update, klick DONE and save the thing in MainUI. When I then select the thing again and view the configuration, the change was not applied.

During the testing, I activated TRACE logging on ZWave and updated the channel configuration for a Zwave thing - there was no entry in the ZWave log whatsoever.
Same happens to other bindings.

Additional info: a few days back, I lost all my things in Main UI. I assumed a corruption of Jsondb, recovered the “Things” file from backup and the things were all back in Main UI

Any ideas on how to get the root cause of this?

I did some further testing

  • deleted a zwave thing in MainUI
  • deleted the corresponding channel in text file
  • stopped openhab
  • deleted cache
  • started openhab
  • discovered the zwave thing
  • added the channel via text file
  • tried to change config paramters of the thing in MainUI
and this is what I got:
2021-05-17 12:08:35.879 [ERROR] [internal.JSONResponseExceptionMapper] - Unexpected exception occurred while processing REST request.

The config change did not get applied.
Your help is appreciated.

Maybe try bundle:list | grep ZWave in the openHAB console and verify that:

  • the bundle appears only once
  • the version is consistent with the other bindings

@ysc
Thanks a lot. That was indeed the problem. I removed the older version and now it is working again.
