Move from Max!

Hi I currently have a Max system compiled of trv’s wall stat’s and boiler control. I have a simple script that polls the wall stats for set temp and actual temp. If a need for heat is determined then the boiler is turned on.

My cube has finally died i am looking at various ways around this problem i.e CUL other softwares fhem etc. However my questions are around the purchase of a new system altogether so i can stay with openhab. One that stands out is the sonsoff zigbee as price looks good.

I dont really want a system that uses a web solution. I would rather have a local hub i do not need to control it via the app although i can currently. My.main thing is the boiler reacting to the demand for heat.

Hardware suggestions welcome.

I use a Busware CUL stick.
This is probably outdated but the basic idea is still valid. Homegear is part of openHABian.

Or eventually you can still reflash your cube?

I have a cul stick. But homegear doesn’t support the boiler control. What boiler switch are you using?

None. But that now is no reason not to move, is it.
You can replace your switch by any OH-supported device like Shelly actuators.

Thanks. Just looked st the shelly. They look a little to basic. I would like to maintain the white box and manual switch.

I am thinking of going with the homematic multi I.O box being that ill be using cul via homegear and homematic binding for the rest of the setup.

Also it seems to me that as my max decices die i can potentially slowly move accross to the homematic trv’s and wall stats.

I have an RPi 3+ do you know if the combined homegear + openhab setup run on that?
