This is something I do not understand at all and I never saw this behaviour with other items. The item value is stored as a number also for the influx persistence, but it is shown as status string in the sitemap. My use case is to log the status flow and visualize it in Grafana, which is suboptimal only with numbers.
Rene, thanks a lot for the excellent binding and it is working reliable & stable for me. Could you please comment on the behaviour described by Max with the number vs. string in the item? Just for curiosity. Thanks
