Hi,

quite a while ago I tried to keep the connectedcar binding alive which was written by others but I had to give up since I had no idea how to reverse engineer all the changes.

Now Skoda announced an official API to their cars MyŠkoda Public API - Developer Documentation

Since while I know a bit how to program and can patch stuff I’m not really the one to write something from scratch I gave AI a try and it gave me a quite well working binding already to be used against the official API.

it already lives in GitHub - wrosenauer/openhab-addons at 5.2.x-myskoda · GitHub for the stable release. If people are interested in it I can provide a JAR for testing.

Thanks, will have a look. Still waiting for my app to update to request api key.

My first intention was to create a rule template but might give this a try.

Still stuck on OH4.3 so need to urgently update my environment

id be interested in a jar for testing. official api route sounds way less cursed than reverse engineering the old connectedcar stuff.

im on 5.x-ish so a 5.2.x build would be useful. if you drop the jar + a short note on how you request the api key from the mySkoda app, ill try it when i get a chance. no skoda in the driveway right now but i can at least see if it installs clean.

Actually I can confirm it installs. I also get data. I haven’t monitored it closely so far and I haven’t checked any controls yet.
