NanoMote Quad (zwa003) comes up as "Unknown"

I’m running Openhabian on an RPi3 with OH 2.4 using the latest zwave snapshot binding (3/28). I already have one of these devices recognized and working just fine for maybe two weeks now. I received another one yesterday, but no matter what I’ve done, this new device continues to come up as “Unknown”.
I’ve gone through 3 cycles of exclusion/inclusion, rebooted the RPi3, but still no luck.
The log displays

2019-03-30 07:50:31.142 [WARN ] [wave.discovery.ZWaveDiscoveryService] - NODE 69: Device discovery could not resolve to a thingType! Manufacturer data not known.

Any ideas? Again, I already have one of these devices working just fine.

This means that the binding does not know the manufacturer information, and therefore can’t determine the thing type.

You need to wake up the device (O assume it’s a battery powered device?) so that this information can be retrieved.

I have awakened the device every time I’ve tried to get it recognized (Hold the action button until the green begins to flash). And yes, it is battery powered device.

Ok, no doubt you’ve checked the debug logs to see what is happening when you wake it up?

Here’s what I see in the log after setting binding into debug mode:

Please wake up the device so that it can be discovered. I don’t know how to do that, but the manual should tell you.

I did wakeup the device as described in the manual. What should I expect to see in the log if the device is awakened?

You should expect to see a wakeup message - this is not being received - only scene commands are bing received.

The binding can’t communicate with the device if it is not awake - it will wait for the wakeup message before attempting to communicate and the device will go back to sleep a few seconds after it wakes up to save batteries.

I got it. The instructions are a little misleading about waking the device. What one needs to is is follow the instructions for adding the device to the network to get the device to wake up. The wake instructions only does what’s in the log I posted.
Thanks for the help.

If the instructions aren’t clear, please consider updating the database so that it helps others. The database contains a box for adding wakeup information, and this will directly flow through into improving the documentation.
