Negative contact item

I receive this message:

in/F_Garage_Door_Closed/state OPEN

And I have this item:
Contact Garage_Contact “Garage Contact” (gGarage) [“GarageDoor”] {channel=“mqtt:topic:Garag_Contact:Garage_Contact_Opened”}

Is there any way to show the negative? I mean, if I receive OPEN, contact item shows CLOSED?

You can use a proxy Item.

You can use the visibility tag and show a static version of the Item on the sitemap based on the state of the Contact.

You can use a transformation or use a “Custom ON/OPEN value” and “Custom OFF/CLOSED value” on the MQTT Thing.

If you are not using dynamic icons, you can just use a MAP transform in your label.
