That would be the link to the blog I posted in the linked topic. TLDR: Register for the ZW DB and open a ticket for write access. TYPE:ID governs not the model number. Two devices cannot have the same TYPE:ID unless there is a firmware version difference.

Sorry - I wasn’t clear. I do understand the mechanics of updating the database (I actually have done so before, back in OpenHAB2 days). What I’m looking for was guidance on whether the entry for the MP26Z should / needs to be updated.
I looked at the XML quoted in the MP26Z forum link you posted - and it does show the same firmware version as the MP24Z that I have. The XML actually looks identical - in fact, a diff only shows differences in nodeID and neighbors (especially firmware version is shown as “4” in both the posted MP26Z XML and in my own XML).
So - the guidance I’m seeking… should I update the MP26Z entry in the DB by updating things like the label / description and/or posting additional pictures and manuals? Or is the DB good as is?
