Particle announced three new Generation 3 development boards. The main push of this new set of hardware is Particle Mesh, which allows the devices to share a single connection to the internet to connect multiple devices.
It’s still pre-release so details are fairly scarce, but I’ve been pleased with Particle’s products in the past and this could be a great way to connect sensor nodes from around the house.
Personally, I hope the protocol supports sharing an MQTT connection to downstream nodes.
