Non socket 220v to 5V USB power adapter

I prerfer using powered (ie not battery) devices when I can.
Many devices nowadays come with a USB power socket. They usually ship with a cable and something a power adapter. There won’t be enough socket for all those devices, especially if you do not want to run long cables.

I have a bunch of sensors such as the SNZB-06P which find a convenient location next or year the light they (amongst the rest) can control.

That put me on the path to search for 220v to 5V USB power adapters. I am NOT looking for power adapters to plus into a socket but small modules to power 5V 1-2A devices.

I found one that I purchased and tested.
First my fuses blew up. 2 days into using the module, it stopped working and looked like that:

That’s a “hot” product to say the least
The seller made however no issue whatsoever and reimbursed the product in full. While this is nice, it does not solve my problem.

So yeah, no CE label and I am questionning the safey of those.
Sure I could have gotten one bad one and in the end, it “only” probably smoked, yet, I am not super confident. I ahd 4 units. Before I installed the first, I did a “dry run” on a lab setup and it went fine. I am now running on the 2nd unit and it looks ok.

I found similar devices that do have a CE label:
41HsxApx1OL.AC_SX679
Those come in 1A and 2.1A modules which should fit most needs.

Do any of you use such a solution ? Any feedback, tips, esperience to share ?
I find those device above a little pricey at ~9eur / pcs but safety first… Since I would need ~8-10 units, I may find a better supplier but amazon is pretty sweet when it comes to testing.

I have a tablet at the wall with one of these.

I have some more cases where I need something like this. Usually I use regular DC adapters like these or these and wire them directly to a cut USB power cable.

For possibly fitting into a junction box I consider your find quite cheap, thanks for the hint
