OH 4.0.4 - tmp_default.rules WARN

Just upgraded from OH 3.4.4 to 4.0.4 and I’m getting this WARN in the startup below with tmp_default.rules.

All my configuration is in text files (i.e. default.rules)

2023-11-17 21:37:15.734 [INFO ] [enhab.core.model.core.internal.ModelRepositoryImpl] - Loading model 'default.rules'
2023-11-17 21:37:18.717 [WARN ] [enhab.core.model.core.internal.ModelRepositoryImpl] - Configuration model 'tmp_default.rules' is either empty or cannot be parsed correctly!

How can I remove this issue on startup?

Best, Jay

Do you have any other files in the series folder?

Are the rules in that file successfully created?

Yes, all of them are labeled like .bak or .bak2

No others like .rules.

Best, Jay

Try removing all the extraneous files.

Sorry, I have the same issue now. What series folder do you mean? I have all the rules in the /etc/openhab/rules folder and I haven’t got a series folder there.

You can’t have any other files within the items, rules, things folders than the actual .items, .rules and .things files.

I kept backup files named with a different extensions (ie .bak) in these folders. Removed them and the error went away.

Thanks! I have removed everything and indeed it seems to be gone. It’s really odd, those files were sitting there for a long time with no issues.
Thanks, anyhow!
