A few weeks ago i reinstalled my openHAB installation with version 2.2.0. Since then the RFXCOM binding keeps constantly discovering “Security Sensor” things:
All 62 things in the Inbox are newly discovered things of type “Security Sensor” - is this a intended behaviour? Is it possible to disable discovery of things for this binding?

I am experiencing the same behaviour and would like to know what these things are and presumably how to stop discovering them… Thanks…
Go to the Things list in paperUI, click the edit button next to your RFXCOM bridge Thing and turn the “disable discovery” switch on. It’s possible you see some neighbour’s devices. More likely it’s just noise. 433MHz is inherently noisy and most of these protocols have no CRCs, check digits, parity, …
Thank you very much for your answer - i’ve read more than three times through the settings page of the RFXCOM bridge and simply did not see this switch…
