OH2 Setup

I just finished install OH2. Installed well. I started the URL
The Startup Screen had "Getting started? Please refer to the online documentation. "
Clicked on that, got the page. http://docs.openhab.org/
Clicked on tutorials
Clicked on beginner… And… got
http://docs.openhab.org/tutorials/beginner/index.html
But no tutorials :frowning:
nichts… lol Where can I find beginner Guild to set up my fist config.

Hallo Phillip!
Welcome to the openHAB world :v:
Good news, the tutorial is in the pipeline and will be ready for the openHAB 2 release. You will find it at the expected point starting this weekend. Till then check here: Setting up openHAB2 from scratch

Viel Erfolg!

Great Thanks
I snapped back to do a fresh install of OA2. (I lov VMware)
I also Upgrades to Ubuntu 16.4
Everything looks great, no obvious errors, openhab2.log looks good.
So I clicked on add-on "Network"
And it just spins… OPENHAB Java CPU is at 0.3% and event log has:
2017-01-19 12:54:52.319 [ExtensionEvent ] - Extension ‘package-standard’ has been installed.
2017-01-19 12:55:06.952 [ExtensionEvent ] - Extension ‘ui-basic’ has been installed.
2017-01-19 12:55:06.955 [ExtensionEvent ] - Extension ‘ui-habpanel’ has been installed.
2017-01-19 12:55:06.955 [ExtensionEvent ] - Extension ‘ui-paper’ has been installed.
2017-01-19 12:55:41.441 [ExtensionEvent ] - Extension ‘binding-network’ has been installed.

Are there any other logs I can Look At? Should I refresh Web? Reboot?

We are talking about the “Scan for Things” window? The circle will probably continue searching but check the background, my system already found a few devices.

Did you check the binding readme: http://docs.openhab.org/addons/bindings/network/readme.html
I’m actually a fan of file based configuration, which is described below. Just for your info. You will want to know how to go both ways as some bindings are better used the one way or the other…

Best I can tell, the Binding never installed…
Where can I check?

Following the idea of “Ein Bild sagt mehr als tausend Worte”

However, you already saw the “Extension ‘binding-network’ has been installed.” So should be fine.

I did a restart of the OA2 service, now is shows up in inbox. Woot, thanks

Sorry, it was a ID-10-T issue, I was using IE.
I moved to Mozilla Firefox and it is refreshing now.
Sorry :frowning:
