Openhab 1.7 or openhab2?

hi,

Currently I’m running a small setup using openhab 1.7 on my windows 7 machine, works fine.
For some reasons I want to move to lubuntu or other version of ubuntu, big question is: should I install 1.7 or openhab2 on my new OS ?

You could either 1) work with the pre-beta openHAB 2 now, knowing that documentation and stability are not to a beta level, but there are many improvements, 2) install openHAB 1.7.1 via apt-get and get a fairly stable and documented system, 3) install a current build of 1.8.0-SNAPSHOT with fixes and enhancements since the 1.7.1 release, or 4) wait until OH 1.8 or 2.0 are released. It obviously depends on your expectations regarding features vs. stability/documentation.
