Thanks. Let me know how the sitemaps go if and when you decide to use them. They ended up being the deal breaker for me.
Had the same issue on my installation. Had to rewrite all Paths inside log4j2.xml from sys:… to (in my case) c:\Logs\… then after restart of the service all logs where inside this directory and worked like expected. (it’s double \ …forum is filtering that)
