Our 4.2 release is now almost two months ago and the development continues in full swing. Therefore I am happy to tell you that we have published the first milestone of openHAB 4.3 today!
Please find the extensive release notes on GitHub and feel free to upgrade to this version, if you are looking for the latest and greatest.
Any comments, feedbacks and other discussions are welcome on this thread.
I am happy to announce that openHAB 4.3 Milestone 2 is now available!
It comes with an awesome long list of enhancements and fixes, which are listed in the release notes.
Please use the known topic for any discussions or feedback - thanks!
You might wonder what has happened to Milestone 3. Well, it has been built, but while doing so we discovered a regression that let us decide to not announce it and rather offer you directly the Milestone 4 instead.
As December is coming closer, let me use the opportunity to share the preliminary schedule towards the GA release with you, which looks like this:
Dec 8: Milestone 5 (feature freeze)
Dec 13: Release Candidate 1 (code freeze)
Dec 15: General Availability
As before, please use this topic for any discussions around the new milestone build and also about the release schedule in case you have any concerns.
From now on, we will focus on fixing bugs as the GA release is only one week away!
Let us know on this topic if there is any critical bug or regression that you are aware of and that needs attention before code freeze - thanks!
All, time for code freeze! We have published openHAB 4.3.0 Release Candidate 1 today - there are only a few changes in comparison to the Milestone 5 from last weekend, which shows that we believe things are pretty stable. If nothing goes wrong, this code version will be the one we release on Sunday.
So please help us testing and let us know here, if there is any critical issue that still needs to be fixed. Thanks!
