At that point in time, I replied that stuff was working for me, but that turned into the behavior I described before after some weeks.
I know 
my suspicion is that my issue and the issue described here have the same root cause. As I will eventually upgrade to OH 5.x anyway, it seemed more reasonable to mention it here, especially as similar issues are anyway discussed here.
