Yeah, that’s exactly what I have been using for years, pulling a backdoor MP3 stream directly from the BBC, but now they have closed that service, in favour of the new Sounds app.
Let’s see what we can get working.

It seems that “Someone” has created a work around for the BBC MP3 streams
“How legal it is, is unknown… but it works for now”
Looks like they’ve scraped the stream URIs from various stations’ websites. As long as the URI isn’t behind a login/paywall, it should be perfectly legal. That’s what I did to get my radio stream.
