Hey this is an unimportant, frivolous thing, but I noticed when I use Homebridge to expose my TV to Homekit, it gives me a Television Icon in the Home App.
When I use OpenHab on a switch, and give it the metadata Television, Television.Active, then it shows a house icon instead, which is not changeable. Homekit still recognises it as a Television and telling Siri to turn the TV on and off works as expected. So just want to know if there’s any metadata I need to add to adjust the icon.
(Bonus question - what’s the best way to expose things like Volume/Brightness to Homekit. I don’t want them exposed as lights or blinds as then turning off the lights will mute the TV. Apple Home doesn’t seem to recognise the Television.Speaker and related elements so just need a slider I can control with Siri)
