It’s really a bad idea to auto-update on the latest tag since you’ve probably automatically updated to 2.5.0. 
There may also be manual update steps (see Release Notes) involved and there was a bug with the repo URLs that got fixed now. It’s probably best to restore the automatically generated backup.
