openHAB2 beta3: how to choose the item when linking a channel

With this new version, linking a channel does not let the user choose one item.
I would like, like before, choose one item from my items declared in my .items file.
How to do that now ?

Thanks @chris @ kai. Any way to add a step in the process of discovery to allow a user to name the item at time of creation to avoid the extra step of deleting / adding an item?
