openHABian 1.12 Release

Dear community members,

openHABian v1.12.0 is here.

The image supports all Raspberry Pi models and has the Raspi OS operating system included.
On x86, you can install openHABian on top of a generic Debian Linux distribution (that you need to install yourself).

This release is the first to be based on Debian 13 “trixie” distribution.
openHABian will install openHAB 5.1 and OpenJDK Java 21 by default, but you can also use it to (re-)install older OH versions or latest snapshots.
When you select openHABian in Raspberry Pi imager, it will offer you the latest stable release (i.e. this one).
Alternatively, you can download the image here and use Raspberry Pi imager or Etcher to manually flash it to a micro SD card (preferably use an ‘Endurance’ labelled card).

If your hardware enables you to go with 64 bit - which essentially means you should have 2 GB of RAM or more -, use the 64bit image. Please read the docs on 64bit for which one to choose so you can have the best experience with your hardware.

If you come across any issues or have any comments you’d like to share please discuss them in this thread.

We hope it’s hassle-free for you.
