Openhabian freezes, how to reinstall

I’m running openhabian “openHAB 3.4.1 - Release Build”.
This combined with the use of rest in combination of my older vb.net program (this should all be moved to openhabian).
Removed most rules
Just the rules to indicate the heating are still present (onewire).
Bindings: deconz, onewire, astro

Openhabian has run a while normal, without issues.
On a certain moment it began to freeze.
I was playing with google, sonoff.
But after removing the last added addons, it still is freezing after a 1.5 day.
I’don’t know what to remove , it is the basic deconz with onewire. So I think it is the best to reinstall.
What is that the best method?
I would prefer to reuse the house configuration. So that I don’t need to recreate all rooms and items.
But then there is also the risk to reimport my issue of freezing.

Is there a good fast approach? I don’t think that there are people that has ideas by the freezing?
At the moment there are no rpi to find, otherwise you can do it next to the active rpi.

Kind regards
Pieter

Is it possible to login via ssh when it is frozen ?
What is the content of openhab.log and the linux system log ?

Via ssh I can do a reboot
The website gives only a blank site.
The rest api is only sending ‘ALIVE’, a strange one. Because thats the only thing he sends. Each 10sec.
The openhab.log doens’t log then. And I don’t see special items in the log.

looks like openhabian is not frozen … login via ssh works, reboot works…
What are system key statistics when OH does not react any longer as expected and you login via ssh ?
I think the statistics in your first post are statistics right after a reboot.

Not frozen, the rpi is not froozen but openhabian looks froozen.
Certainly not working like expected. Openhabian is not sending real info trough rest.
The website or app of openhab keep blank, no display of items.
The rules to put the red led for the heating, is not acting as expect.

The statistics are indeed 1hour after the reboot.
The bad statistics, I can post in 1.5 day. The free memory is arount 85% but not 100%. I also thouth the amount of processes is higher.

To be clear:

openHABian is not the same as openHAB.

openHABian is currently Version v1.7.5 (see Releases · openhab/openhabian · GitHub)
while openHAB is currently Version 3.4.1

openHABian is a set of scripts to setup and maintain openHAB in a komfortable way.
Please also be aware that the openHABian Image is NOT a specific OS, it’s a plain Raspberry Pi OS lite Image plus the openHABian scripts.

Just had to reboot again

Oh. Please use code fences to provide shell output. This is: type three backticks, new line, insert stuff from shell, new line, three backticks.

Nothing more to see, it’s a (more or less) normal shell login with a way to complex status request.

systemctl status openhab

will suffice, as status request is allowed for all users.
Please don’t reboot at first try, but login to shell and do a proper restart:

sudo systemctl restart openhab
