Organize items in sitemap/basicUI

Hi,

I have setup my openhab2.5 system completely via paperUI.
Is there a way to order the items in my basicUI?
Now they seems to be in a random order.
now it looks like:
Living room:
Light 2
Blinds
Light 1
Light 3

but I want them as
Living room:
Light 1
Light 2
Light 3
Blinds

I tried to cut/paste the items in the “org.eclipse.smarthome.core.items.Item.json” file but that doesn’t change anything. The file doesn’t accept my changes and after a reload it was like before the editing. My /etc/sitemaps doesn’t contain any items, only room names. (build with the sitemap builder).

I am not sure, but I think you should be able to list them in the sitemap within the room names.
Have you tried that?

I’ll guess that you mean it contains Groups only.
You cannot re-order display when using Groups.
If you want to order your display, you should edit your sitemap andmanually specify your Items.

Indeed, I mean Groups.
Now at least I know that I don’t have to search anymore for a solution but just build my sitemap from scratch.
