PanasonicTV Binding upgrade to OpenHAB 2.x

Hi all

Does anyone know if the Panasonic TV Binding (panasonictv1) is still actively being supported?

I’m using the binding myself and I thought it might be a good starting point for me to learn how 2.x bindings work if I upgrade it to a 2.x binding. I thought about keeping the same features as the current binding, but add auto discovery and a new channel showing the on/off state of the TV.

Let me know if anyone is already looking at this, otherwise I make a start.

Code maintainers: Would I need a different binding id or can I use the same “panasonictv”? In the 1.x binding descriptor the binding id is “panasonictv”, but the feature is “openhab-binding-panasonictv1” (i.e. with the 1 at the end)

Cheers,
Rene

You can use the same id. 1.x version bindings have the 1 appended to the ID which is how we distinguish between 1.x and 2.x bindings.

There is an open pull request for a Panasonic tv binding:

I don’t know what the status is.

Hello,

Any update on this?

Thanks
