This sort of thing?
I’m working on doing a widget for displaying my camera views in Habpanel. Small view as part of the page, but when clicked, opens a large version in the screen (with a higher refresh). Images are being generated by Blue Iris (different computer).
I uninstalled v2.0 of habpanel through the paperUI, and then downloaded the current snapshot (v140) and put it in the addons folder. I did this so I could play with the new Javascript capability to better handle multiple images on one screen.

Wish I had seen your post before I created this widget:
With this widget you can display a thumbnail of the video with a variable refresh to keep network traffic low when you fill the Habpanel screen with lots of cameras. Then when you click on the thumbnail the video opens up into a larger screen. Click again to close.
Can be installed from the habpanel editor by clicking on ‘add widget’ then ‘get more’.
