Problem with Internet off Time and Reboot

Hey,
so I build an openhab system with a Raspberry Pi 5. It’s connected with LAN and everything is working fine, but our Internet is turning off every night from 01:30 to 05:30. I tried to implement a Reboot of the Raspberry Pi at 05:33, but the system seems to crash or else. The Problem is the Pi isn’t reachable after the night, so I have to pull its power source to reboot it manually every day. That’s not what I wanted from a “smart Home” can anybody help with the problem.

Also, the automations. Such as, turning the light on at 05:40 every workday isn’t working. Don’t know if it’s the “failed reboot” or something else, cause one day the pi restarted successfully, but the automation started exactly one hour later than it should. Yes, the time in the Pi was correct the evening before.

Welcome to the openhab community!

Why? Openhab runs even if there is no internet connection. It is one of openhab‘s advantages that it does not require an internet connection.

Let‘s start from here, the root cause and not try to fix a non working workaround.
