Problems with MySQL8 in Openhab1

Hi All

After updating my server today, I’ve got MySQL8 running. Now I can’t get OH1 connect to the database which really causes problems for me.

I’ve found a ticket for that problem (https://github.com/openhab/openhab1-addons/issues/5698) which should have been solved in 1.9. So I’ve downloaded the addon bundle, but it still doesn’t work.

Is there a way to bring it back to work? I know that you are not really interested any more in OH1, but to bring up my OH2 installation is on a good way but would still take some time.

What makes you think that? This suggests you’d want 1.13
