I have thought about that a few times. It´s just that it seems like this only affect REST. So I kinda hoped I could fix it somehow.
My main concern for starting all over is my Nilan Ventilation (modbus) binding, which was one of the first things I installed quite a few months ago. I´m not really sure exactly what happened back then, cause I was all green, and guided through the installation, and remember something about som .py scripts I had to run. I´m afraid I´ll loose this thing. And have to struggle with it again, if I do a clean install. I´ll need to go through the thread from back then, to make sure how to handle it, if starting all over.
I also have InfluxDB as well as Grafana. And I have no idea how to handle/backup these data, beside starting all over and install and configure them from scratch, (huge work).
In all I would probably be struggling for quite a few days, (maybe weeks) before a clean installation is fully up running again.
All “normal” files and folders (items, sitemaps, rules, services etc) are no problem, since I have backups of those. And in worse case I do image backups of my SSD very often.
