Just a quick FYI:
The maintainer of the Roborock Home Assistant integration has found a way to fully disconnect current-gen (and even older) Roborock vacuum robots from the cloud—no disassembly or soldering required, and it’s fully reversible.
It’s a Python-based local server approach that lets you control your vacuum entirely within your own network, which could be really interesting for anyone focused on privacy, reliability, or fully local smart home setups (e.g., with openHAB or Home Assistant).
