Samsung S95F won't turn on using WoL

Hi All, using 5.1.0 and can get the unit to switch off fine via alexa. I moved from Ethernet over to WIFI because of the bug (LLM says there is) , updated my MAC address and disabled/renabled the power settings and Remote Control etc. I can switch OFF fine.

I can’t switch on. All devices on the local lan, running OH on a VM. No firewall.

Any suggestions? This is what the debug shows:

Thanks!

Any ideas? would love to get this turning on via alexa

Please check in your router, if your TV is still active why in standby mode. It is very common for WiFi devices, not being able to be woken up via WOL.

Hi there, the samsung TV is showing as online inside my Unifi Cloud Ultra router, despite the TV currently being OFF

Can you wake up the TV through your router?

No, i tried via the Cloud gateway to send a WOL and it wouldnt switch on. This suggests a TV setting?

Yes and no. It proofs not to be an openHAB issue.

As said before, WiFi devices are unlikely to be woken up in standby/sleep mode.

My Samsung TV behaves the same….

Do you have a way to automate the ON function for the TV via voice or some other means? We love voice/alexa, works so well. Disappointed this is so hard in 2026 on a brand new TV

Sorry, no.

An Alexa controllable remote, cheapest I know are:
