Shelly rssi in dB

Hi,

I installed the shelly binding and it works but one thing … The RSSI value.

RSSI is not being shown as the dB value it is. It’s just a number representing an interpretation of the RSSI. That’s useless. I checked, shelly reports it in dB so how do I get dB out of the binding?

Depending on device, you can retrieve the “rssi” value in dBm through MQTT to openHAB. Example for my Shelly HT sensor:

Result: -72 dBm
