Show offline things?

I recently had a malfunctioning shutter contact which went offline due to hardware failure. In system log theres a warning that the things changed from online to offline.
Is there a possibility to inculde those online/offline states to the Basic UI by sitemap file?

Take a look at this:

As there is no way to put the “thing status” directly on the sitemap, you will have to create a separate item to show on your sitemap, and then use a rule to set the state of that item to reflect the “thing status”.
