Simple Amplifier for OH

Hi

I need an amplifier that can be controlled by OH, eg. with MQTT
I have a Sonos connect with line output, which should then be connected to an amplifier where OH can control volume and turn on / off

The reason I do not control it directly at the Sonos binding is that this Sonos connect to connceted multiple rooms and i want to control each room separately

Is it realy true that nobody can give me a hint on what to do.

I’m thinking maybe a ESP8266 with a potentiometer attached to the line input, and some coding

I don’t have the skills to do the code, so maybe someone can give a link to someone who has done this.
