Sitemap mixed up icons on android app

hi,

I have random icons mix-up on the sitemap. Like temperature items shows door icon, doors items have sunset and sunrise etc… then I refresh and everything is fine.

I think it doesnt happen on web browser when looking at the sitemap.

the problem persisted through upgrade from 4.2.1 to 4.3.9

anyone had this? Should I clear the cache of the openhab? or the problem is on my phone? I tried clearing the cache of the android app…

Is it really Basic UI or the Android app ?

Its the android app but old sitemap UI, not the new MainUI..

I renamed your topic.

You can try to clear the icon cache in the Android app.

tried clearing cache in the app settings, same behavior.

forgot to mention, the app is F-Droid version (no google apps on the phone).

so is there any point in clearning a cache on the OH server, or this is purely a client issue?

another client phone that my wife uses has normal google play version, but I’m not sure if she faces the same issue, and would she even notice it…

This should be a client side issue. No need to clear any caches on the server.

Does the issue disappear when you scroll up and down on the sitemap so the icon is hidden and shown again?

I am aware of such an issue that’s related to the sitemaps rows being reused on scrolling up/down (which is what @mueller-ma was hinting at).

I’ve meant to look into it for quite some time, but the issue is: it’s happening only extremely rarely for me, so that it’s almost impossible to reproduce while having the debugger connected. Do you see this regularly?

Hi, the problem does not dissapear when scrolling, only when forcing a refresh by scrolling up when you are already up (or just waiting for some time for the app to autorefresh).

It does not happen all the time, I cannot reproduce it easily, but I see it like once a day. Not sure what triggers it, but might be some state changes. Like a light goes ON, and then some random sitemap item like a TV gets the yellow bulb icon.

I’ve been using it heavily since OH2, but I only started seeing it few months back…
