[SOLVED] Can I send SNMP traps with openHAB?

It looks like the regular SNMP binding can’t send traps, just receive. Anyone know if there is a way to send SNMP traps from openHAB? It’d be a nice way to quickly update an NMS.

One idea would be to use the Exec binding and a rule to fire a snmptrap command

Looks like that would work fine. I’ve been using MQTT and forgot about that binding. I don’t have a broker (yet) on this other SNMP trap project. Thanks!
