[SOLVED] Error starting bundles!

Hi All,

Well what a day I am having… I have been trying to get an Ethernet Mysensors gateway configured on my openhab 2.4 install.

I was getting some really weird problems (so many I cant remember them now!) so I cleared the cache, which has helped before. It didnt this time.

I ended up deleting my things and items, then rebooted my rpi3.

When I rebooted I got this error in the log-:

This is as far as the system seems to get but still allows me to get in using Putty.

I am not very good at programming could someone please tell me what I have done and where to start looking?

I have tried getting into the console but it just says ‘Logging in as openhab’ then ‘Failed to get session’

Thanks for the help, I did see that but I can not access the console…

As an alternative install the serial binding, it will also install that dependency.

OK, Made some progress, I think the panic is over!

Found this in another thread-:

sudo apt-get -o Dpkg::Options::="–force-confask" -o Dpkg::Options::="–force-confmiss" --reinstall install openhab2

Tried it and it all seems to be coming back up…

Hi @crumpy10,

Thanks for your interest in developing a new / your own OH2 binding. Before digging to deep into gnu.io related issues you may want to have a look into the org.openhab.core.io.transport.serial package itself. The framework offers nearly everything without depending on the external gnu.io package.

Hi Christoph,
Thanks for your comments and info but that stuff is way over my head. I found that command line in another thread with similar problems and it worked for me. I dont think I will be developing my own binding in the next 100 years… Would love to be that clever!
