[Solved] openHAB 2.5.12: downloading of mvn:mysql/mysql-connector-java/8.0.13 fails

We are not alone:

openHAB 3.1.0 Build #2253 no Bindings will run

also a downgrading to openHAB 3.0.1 Release Build will not work. The same error only the version changed to /1.3.5

There seems to be something severely broken in the internet Maven repository …
