[SOLVED] Windows network share to RPI

Hey H102,

So i have been testing/ searching…
Seems when i edit my sitemap file via ssh that it has my items included in the same file (the sitemap file)… strange because when i go check the file that is in my test folder (so the file i have created), it shows a good file…

Then i removed the one in sitemaps and copied the one from my test folder to sitemaps folder.(again)
Had the permission issue (but now i know how to fix it because of you :))
After the persmission fix i could open the file via ssh and now it looks like it should.
Sitemaps shows up again … phew :stuck_out_tongue:

my BasicUI seems to be working well, so no idea where this extra “switch” comes from.
Its like this in my PaperUI on all buttons.

oh and is there an advantage for using nano instead?

now i am going to check vim and VSCode

Hey vzorglub,

in the meanwhile i actually was able to successfully complete your link.
That was actually the answer to my initial question, which for thanks!

Hey H102,

great tip!
installed VSCode, created a network share to openHAB-conf and opened this folder in VSCode.
This is rly looking great!

Using nano or vim is a personal preference for making changes via ssh. VSCode is by far the best to make changes in OH config files via samba share.

Glade to see you got everything working!

Thanks
