Synology + fritz.box + no ping allowed -> cannot add my iphone via network binding

    • Java Runtime Environment: 8.0.161
    • openHAB version: 2.4
  • Issue of the topic:

then nothing happens.

I tried to add my IPhone manually then it can discover it, why can’t it autodiscover it? I assume that the openhab system has not the correct access rights. Has anyone an answer to that? Or is there some setting in the fritz.box which prevents the openhab process to discover items on the local network?

I copied and pasted the ip from the fritz.box homenetwork page. And I made sure that the IPhone always receives the same ip adress by clicking the checkbox in the fritz.box settings page.

If I remember correctly there is a bug in OH 2.4 in the network binding that prevents auto discovery from finding any devices.

So this has nothing to do with your setup I assume.

So you can try OH 2.5.M1 which should include this fix
