For anyone who stumbles upon the same issue, it’s fixed in the following milestone:
openHAB 3.4.0 Milestone 4

Turned out that the same issue existed in both the Tellstick and Verisure binding, so it’s possible that other bindings has it as well. The fixes are described here:
