I’ve pushed a new build of my fork of the homekit plugin. I’m working with the author of HAP-Java to get some fixes merged for some of issues I’ve discovered. Also, I’ve been moving some things around extensively to add support for optional characteristics, paving the way for this release: Low battery reporting for battery powered devices such as leak sensors and motion sensors!
Once all of the dust from these changes settle, I’ll work on engaging with the Openhab maintainers to get these changes merged.
If anyone feels so brave as to test these changes, I’ll be grateful! Also, if anyone from the core maintainers list can reach out to help start the process of integrating these changes, I’ll be grateful too.
