Greetings everyone,
-Did you try to control sound sources of sound amplifier? As I see there are bindings for Sonos, Russound.
-What about Thinknx?
Greetings everyone,
-Did you try to control sound sources of sound amplifier? As I see there are bindings for Sonos, Russound.
-What about Thinknx?
Do you mean thinknx Audiofy?
As it’s controllable via knx, it should be good to go (but only as a complex knx device, there is no ready-to-use thing for this hardware).
I’m using a Yamaha receiver :), works great.
Do you mean Yamaha Amplifier for Multizone?
Can you guide me about the control options, are you able to change the source and broadcast into multi-zones?
I use the Yamaha RX-575, which has only one “real” zone, but there are other models with multizone option.
The Device is connected as as “main” unit (aka bridge) and one or more child things (one per zone). I can change almost every parameter of the receiver, including source, volume, power, mute and the media player part (which I don’t use, but…)
When it comes to multiroom audio, I prefer my Lyrion (former Logitech Music Server) in combination with some Squeezebox Lite instances (an open source Squeezebox software clone), some on dedicated hardware (PiCorePlayer), some on smartphone, iPad, Windows)
openHAB has excellent support for LMS (Lyrion Music Server).
And of course is every LMS client controlled by LMS
What about Yamaha XDA-AMP5400RK Multi-Room Amplifier, XDA-QS5400RK MusicCast Multi-Room Streaming Amplifier
Did you have chance to work on it with OpenHab?
No, I have only one yamaha Receiver But openHAB is free, so if you have one, check it out…
As far as I know, Yamaha devices use a common API (maybe with some device specific parts?)
Even if not mentioned in the documentation, the chances are high that at least basic functionality is supported. Please be aware that someone has to test it, the developer does not own every specific model
