TP-Link smart plug 'things' issue

Fairly new to this, and am trying to confiure my things and site map files based on the initial demo ones that are created.

for the life of me i can’t figure out what i am doing wrong with these switches, the site map only shows the last ‘thing’ in the the file, as i add a switch the previous one disappears from the site map.

Am i calling the operation wrong?

home and TP_L_switch are example keys and must be unique for each item and thing. In the documentation this is explained in more detail:
