URVE Board RPI - rpi3+ hardware replacement

Recently I been in touch with hardware manufacturer called Eveo based in Poland where I live. I worked with that firm and their hardware in one project where we needed a SBC with onboard flash, RS485 and CAN interface. Based on this cooperation I made connections to their sales/sourcing department in order to simply know what’s going on with their supply chain.

Reason why I bring this topic is simple - Eveo will be offering a replacement for rpi which should remain available over coming years serving not only DIY but also business purposes. A leaflet of device is available here: URVE Board PI.

By calling it a replacement I mean same dimension and same GPIO layout (confirmed by producer). From operating system perspective hardware components are different, but its still an ARM based computer. CPU is RK3566. RAM and eMMC sizes are available in various variants.

I am awaiting a sample to test its performance and boot process to see how well it is going with Debian. Anyone interested in getting this device - feel free to PM me or simply drop a line at hardware@connectorio.com.

It took quite a bit but I got a demonstration unit. Will fire some tests on it and see how it compares to other devices.

I’ve received a box of brand new URVE PI v2, which are available for further distribution (manufacturer provided us with CE conformance statement required for EU). For these who are interested in performance, please take a look on this geekbench: URVE Pi - Geekbench Browser. These are result for v1.1 model which features the same rockchip CPU. While it is not as performant as Raspberry Pi 4 powered by BCM2711, it has an indisputable advantage of on board 8 GB flash and built-in m2 sata connector.

The v2 is powered by Debian 11. Anyone interested in purchase, feel free to contact hardware@connectorio.com. The price is 99€ (includes 23% polish VAT) or 80.5€ for companies which have valid VAT-EU. Delivery cost starts from 25€ (DPD within EU).

Hardware is available in large quantities. No matter if you need 1, 10 or 50 of these - we can supply all of them within one week from purchase.
