Recently I been in touch with hardware manufacturer called Eveo based in Poland where I live. I worked with that firm and their hardware in one project where we needed a SBC with onboard flash, RS485 and CAN interface. Based on this cooperation I made connections to their sales/sourcing department in order to simply know what’s going on with their supply chain.
Reason why I bring this topic is simple - Eveo will be offering a replacement for rpi which should remain available over coming years serving not only DIY but also business purposes. A leaflet of device is available here: URVE Board PI.
By calling it a replacement I mean same dimension and same GPIO layout (confirmed by producer). From operating system perspective hardware components are different, but its still an ARM based computer. CPU is RK3566. RAM and eMMC sizes are available in various variants.
