(newbee here):

I think a “10 Minute Install And Enjoy Success” tutorial by using Virtual Things would be good:

Step 1: unzip the openhab.zip and run the start.sh

Step 2: Bind the Virtual-things (V-Things ?) binding

Step 3: add a v-lamp

Step 4: add a switch and see how the v-lamp reacts

Step 5: Rejoice.

I guess one would need a little web application (“V-Playground” ?) to display the v-things, so the new user would immediately see in the browser what the v-things do.

For Step 1 it would help if there was a toplevel folder in the zip as apache-tomcat.zip and almost everybody else have.
