Visonic Powermax impacts by PSTN closure::: VOIP

I have a Visonic Powermax Complete alarm panel that dials out using a PSTN phone connection. Now that PSTN is getting shut down in the UK, I’m wondering how other people are getting around this?
I had purchased an ATA to convert analogue to digital. This failed street a few months and I realised I’d purchased a Chinese knock off. Not ideal but Amazon refunded so all ok.
I could buy another ATA , but it is starting to feel like money down the drain, paying more money to allow me to keep old tech working with new tech.
Visonic make a cellular module but this only works on 3G, which will be switched off on the UK in the next 18 months or so, this doesn’t seem like the right thing to do either.
Maybe I need to investigate new alarm systems that work with OH. Any suggestions welcome. Or suggestions on other ways of working around this problem…
Thanks
Colin

Powerlink is not a solution (outside OH) ?

To where/what does the alarm system makes an outbound call ?

To our mobiles…

I’ll take that as an audio call.

From what I see, there are only two options :

  • buy a decent ATA (bad idea, they don’t exist, but if it’s only for that sound quality is not a priority).
  • get your alarm to talk to OH and/or script an outgoing voice call with or without OH.

if you insist on an audio call.

Appreciate all the comments.

Yesterday we realised we have a bigger problem, my partner spent 30 minutes walking around downstairs without unsetting the alarm, and 2 PIRs failed to activate. the alarm finally sounded when the backdoor was opened. not ideal.

today we purchased a EUFY home alarm.
