Weather API's

Hi all

Any Ideas for alternatives for Weather feeds ? … i’ve tried a few since WU closed their API … but no luck

• Wundergroud no longer has a free API , - mine stopped working a few days back

• Yahoo Weather has also closed their public API…

• OpenWeathermap is a option BUT The 1.x Binding is broken and the API calls dont work in OH2 …

What are you guys using ?

I use to use yahoo. will have a look. but I am in progress of setting up my own station and registering it as a public station. for guys like us.

I use the new openWeathermap binding
Still experimental but working well

Announcing OpenWeatherMap binding for Eclipse SmartHome / openHAB

A new weather binding for ESH / OH2 is in the pipe. You can add it to your system via the Eclipse IoT Marketplace or manually. Requires OH2 2.3+ (see post 116). The binding supports current weather, 5 day / 3 hour forecast (currently for 24h) and 16 day / daily forecast (currently for 5 days / paid accounts). Have a look at the documentation finalized documentation. I need a lot of volunteers for testing. Any kind of feedback will be very much appreciated.

Unzip and put the jar file in /usr/share/openhab2/addons

Or install it through the market place

How? I already have one which feeds WU. But if their api is closed I see no point. Happy to share mine as public for others too.
