As I wrote in many other discussions, there is a much better support in the ESH WeMo Binding, which is part of openHAB 2.0.
The communication was changed to use UPnP, so openHAB 2.0 is able to receive GENA messages from the devices on every change, no polling needed. And not less important, auto discovery is implemented.
This has been tested ans is working on many installations.
So within openHAB 2.0 the following WeMo devices are supported :
Switch, Insight-Switch, Motion Sensor, Maker, Link with LED lights.
Ok, thanks for the update, I can admit I didn’t read the whole thread, as I
said I haven’t tried in a while. I actually installed 2.0 this week, but I
didn’t manage to change the port for the web server (which seem to be an
open issue), so I gave up and will continue this weekend.
