What does "armed" mean in an item or thing?

Hello,

I have some MySensors devices connected to OpenHAB via NRF24L01 trancievers. The MySensors binding offers me in PaperUI to configure an amed-item. Can I get notifications when an armed device has changed it state? How could I do it? Or for what else could I use it? This is my item config:

Switch buerofenster_armed “Armed” {channel=“mysensors:door:207a86b5:armed”}

My Platform information:

  • Hardware: RPI2
  • OS: Openhabian
  • openHAB version: 2.2.0
  • Issue of the topic: Don`t know what armed mean

Armed means it activated the secure mode, so once it is in armed state if you open the door it will trigger your alarm system.
